Revised Eligibility Criteria for B.Arch 2024-2025 onwards

AS PER THE GAZETTE OF INDIA

COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE

(STATUTORY AUTHORITY CONSTITUTED UNDER THE ARCHITECTURE ACT,1972)

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 30th june,2022

In the Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020, in Regulation 4 for sub-regulation (1) and sub-regulation (2), the following sub-regulations shall be substituted, namely: -

“(1) No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject.”
“ (2) The candidate needs to qualify an aptitude test in architecture conducted either by NTA (i.e. JEE) or “NATA” conducted by the Council of Architecture.”

(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate, All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidate :-

  1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
  2. Passed HSC or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra state only) or as declared by appropriate authority, from time to time;

    OR

    Passed (10+3) Full time Diploma examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra state only) with Mathematics as compulsory subject or as declared by the Appropriate Authority, from time to time;
  3. The Candidate should have obtained qualifying marks in NATA or obtained Non Zero Positive Score in JEE (Main) Paper II; (iv)Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

(2) Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National :-

  1. Passed HSC or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate or as declared by appropriate authority from time to time;

    OR

    Candidate should have passed Full Time Diploma (10+3) examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as compulsory subject or as declared by the Appropriate Authority from time to time;
  2. The Candidate should have obtained qualifying marks in NATA as declared by appropriate authority from time to time or obtained Non Zero Positive Score in JEE Main Paper II.
  3. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
